Bagging it Forward with Elmer's

I headed to Walmart in search of school supplies with 3, yes 3 kids in tow! I had anticipated that Walmart wouldn't be too crowded since it was mid morning on a Thursday. Boy was I wrong!

Since we are in the process of moving I called my sons new school to see if they had a school supply list and was quite shocked to hear that the school supplies it all. We then decided that donating some school supplies to my sons old school would be a great lesson in giving back.

in our current area there are many kids that cannot afford the basic supplies so we decided to stick what those.

We headed over to the "Back to School' area that my local Walmart had set up.

There was a huge variety of school supplies but I was really sad to see that my local walmart doesn't carry many of the Elmer's products. Just the necessities really.

Glue sticks, supply cases and Tri-Fold display boards are always being used so we stuck to those.

I honestly was looking forward to finding more Elmer's products than just glue sticks, glitter pens, tri-fold boards etc.

The competitor brands had much more to choose from .

I thought that purchasing glue sticks would really come in handy since I know that the younger grades go through TONS of glue sticks per month.

I also found a Dual tip School glue Pen that I though was pretty neat. Fine point tip on one side and wide spreader on the other.

In bringing my kids along I included them in picking out the school supplies to donate to kids in need at our local school. My 10 year old was very excited to purchase for kids less fortunate and I could see in his face her knew he was doing a great thing.
