Medela Calma Review

The wonderful people at Medela have done it again.

Introducing Calma, designed exclusively for breastmilk feeding!
When I was nursing Olivia it was very difficult to find a bottle that she would actually take for my husband if I wasn't home at feeding time. We wasted tons of money on bottles that claimed they were " just like breast "
To an exclusively nursed baby those bottles were a joke and often hubs had a screaming, starving baby on his hands.
Calma has a great flow control system
* flow control valve allows baby to control milk flow
* milk only flows when baby creates a vacum
* mimics natural feeding behavior: baby can feed,pause and breathe, similar to breastfeeding.
*One size/shape nipple for all stages of breastmilk feeding.
{ Medela recommends establishing breastfeeding before introducing Calma }

Calma with base

Breastmilk bottles and other products from Medela that come into contact with breastmilk are BPA-free and safe for your baby.

I love the fact that baby can control milk flows just as with breastfeeding. Olivia had a very hard time taking a bottle and I'm almost positive it was due to the fact that she could not control the flow like she could when nursing.

Calma can be used with the Medela line of breastpumps as well.

For any breastfeeding mothers who are wondering why their baby won't take a bottle I HIGHLY recommend the Calma breastmilk feeding set.
