Day out with Thomas Strasburg, PA

Party of 5 recently had the chance to travel to Pennsylvania to check out Day out with Thomas.

Strasburg, PA is about 2.5 hours away from my house. I packed plenty of snacks and am so glad I did because I may have put in shortest distance instead of fastest time in my GPS and took the super long way through a not so nice area of Philly! YIKES!

Once all that mubo jumbo was figured out the rest of our day was a huge success.

The weather was iffy and it did drizzle a bit but all that matters was that we were making memories!

Branden wasn't too thrilled about the whole Thomas trip but he adapted pretty good once he realized that Thomas the Train was only in the front!

Upon arrival we parked in a huge field

We then took a school bus ride {short} over to where the Day out with Thomas event was being held.
There was TONS of stuff for the kids to do, but all my kids cared about was getting on the train!

We headed right to the line for our 1:15 train ride!
After about 5 min of waiting we saw Thomas chugging along!!

The girls were so excited!

During our ride we saw LOTS of cows and farm land. It was so peaceful even though I was travelling with a 4 and 2 year old. It was a breath of fresh air { ok, not really fresh, kind of like cow  hahah } but you get the idea.

My favorite part was just how beautiful inside the cars were. I have to say this was a nice change of pace. Very relaxing and nice to be somewhere out of the "city" life.

I think the ONLY thing I would change would be how long the train ride is. I know it runs under a schedule and lots of tickets are sold, but I believe the whole ride was 15 min. I would love for the time to go up by say another 15min.

Party of 5 had so much fun at Day out with Thomas we can't wait to go back again next year! The kids got cute Thomas cups and that's all they want to drink out of!

Day out with Thomas comes to Strasburg again in September and November so be sure to purchase! Tickets run from around $14-$27 and so very well worth it! You can purchase tickets HERE

Here is a little video
