Ripley's Aquarium Myrtle Beach, SC Review and G!veaway

Party of 5 traveled to Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

It was a rainy day on our beach vacation so we were lucky to have this indoor activity that could teach us things and get some energy out! We browsed a couple of tanks and then walked quickly down to Rainbow Rock because the dive show was starting! We watched the diver feed the thousands of different types of fish by hand and got to high five him through the glass! Ryley definitely loved that part!

After the show we got on the glidepath to go through my favorite part..the Dangerous Reef! We saw snappers, tarpons, grunts, squirrelfish, a green sea turtle, giant stingrays, sawfish, and of course SHARKS! I felt like I could reach up and grab them they we so close and the glass was so clear.
We hopped off the glidepath and continued in to the Discovery Center where we took funny pictures next to old dicing equipment and treasure chests. I was very surprised the Ryley went right up to the touch pool and touched a horse shoe crab. The people were very nice and helped to make sure that all visitors had a turn and were treating the animals correctly.
We also played on this Anglerfish slide while checking out our photos that were available for purchase.
We walked up to Ray Bay next because the mermaid show was about to start! Let me tell you my niece Hailie was so excited! Sadly when we got down to the show area it was very crowded and we could not stay to watch the show! We were bummed until we realized that we could go back and touch the stingrays! Ryley and Hailie had so much fun letting the stingrays glide up against them that it made up for the mermaids! Speaking of mermaids again :o) there was a little boutique for the "Mermaid Experience"...OMG! It was adorable!! Children can be dressed and styled as mermaids, pirates, or sailors and then get their pictures taken! Too cute and the prices weren't too bad either!

We also checked out the traveling exhibit "Dinosaurs - When Giants Ruled"! it was pretty cool to see the dinosaurs move and roar! They looked so real!

We had such a great time visiting Ripley's Aquarium! Please like them on Facebook or follow on Twitter to find out more! Ripley's Aquarium is open 365 days a year from 9:00 am - 10:00 pm.
