All of my life I have had a dog. When my Husband and I moved into our first apartment together we begged our landlord to allow us to get a dog. He agreed, but only if we would get a small dog since he really wasn't sold on the idea. We got our super cute Bandit when our son was 5 years old. They have grown up together. When we moved into our house, my husband convinced me we needed a big dog. We searched the local shelters online to adopt a dog and immediately fell in love with Daisy.

All the shelter knew was she was a Mastiff / Labrador Mix and was going to be pretty big. Just what he wanted. When we went to see her my son took our girls for a walk in the stroller and Daisy layed down and cried for them. My husband and I knew she was the one right then.

Adopting a shelter dog means saving a life. There are so many dogs living in shelter due to so many different reasons. Adopting also gave me such satisfaction knowing I saved her life from possible euthanasia.

When I went to Sam's Club to purchase Pedigree Dog Food I heard it was Pet Adoption Month and Pedigree is helping to feed shelter dogs by donating one bowl of dog food for every Pedigree dog product purchased at Sam's Club.

You can find everything you need to help out in the Pet Care Isle.

These qualifying products are:

  • Pedigree Adult Dry Dog Food 55lb
  • Pedigree Choice Cuts Dog Food 30ct
  • Pedigree Dentastix Variety Pack 51ct
  • Pedigree Small Breed Dry Dog Food 20lb
  • Pedigree Puppy Dry Dog Food 16.3lb

We decided while we were there to purchase the Pedigree Choice Cuts Dog Food 30ct and donate to our local shelter. I have a fractured ankle right now and can't drive but as soon as I can my kids and I will be heading to the animal shelter to drop off the food.

You can find more information on the Pedigree website or by visiting their Facebook, Twitter or You Tube pages.
